[S2E6] The One With The Baby On The Bus
When Monica rushes Ross to the emergency room after he suffers an allergic reaction to kiwis, Chandler and Joey babysit Ross' baby son, Ben. They use him as bait to attract girls, but women think they are a gay couple. After accidentally leaving Ben on a bus, they are unable to identify which of two babies is Ben at the city's lost & found. Phoebe loses her Central Perk gig to a professional performer (Chrissie Hynde), so she defiantly sings outside the café. Also, a stranger Giovanni Ribisi, who accidentally dropped a condom in Phoebe's guitar case, rushes back to reclaim it for an "emergency." Catherine Bell appears as Robin, one of the girls in the bus.
After getting his big break with Days of Our Lives, Joey pays Chandler back with $812 and gives him an engraved gold bracelet that Chandler thinks makes him look gay. Joey's feelings are hurt when he overhears Chandler complaining about it. Also, an unemployed Monica is hard up for money. A home video from Monica and Rachel's prom night reveals that Monica was previously overweight and Rachel had a large nose. Rachel's date, Chip, seemed to have stood her up, so Ross donned his father's tuxedo to take her to the prom, though Chip showed up at the last minute without Rachel knowing what Ross did. Rachel, overwhelmed by Ross's gesture, kisses him.
Joey buys a big screen TV and two leather recliners with his soap opera salary, turning him and Chandler into "couch potatoes" who spend days watching TV and never getting out of the chairs. Monica has a catering job for handsome Dr. Richard Burke (Tom Selleck), an ophthalmologist, who is an old family friend. He and Monica are mutually smitten and later go on a date. Ross and Rachel attempt to have their first real date, though Rachel has difficulty adapting to their new romantic relationship, breaking into giggles at inappropriate times. Just before their next date, Ross has a museum emergency, so Rachel tags along. They spend the night in a museum exhibit, waking up nude and under an animal skin, to visitors (mostly children) gawking at them.
Well, it turns out that it's not an intentional big moment. A Friends writer told Refinery 29 that it was just a coincidence. "He was an actor that was used by the executive producers before," she told them. "They liked him, so they decided to use him more because they liked working with him."
When Monica's pie gives Ross an allergic reaction, he is rushed to the hospital and leaves Ben in the care of Chandler and Joey. As they try to make the most of the baby's appeal to women, they accidentally leave him on a bus. Meanwhile, Phoebe is outraged when Central Perk hires a professional musician.
Chandler: Please tell me you know which one is our baby.Joey: Well, that one has ducks on his T-shirt and this one has clowns. And Ben was definitely wearing ducks.Chandler: Okay.Joey: Or clowns. Oh, wait, wait. That one's definitely Ben! Remember he had that cute little mole by his mouth!Chandler: Hey, Ben! Remember us? Okay, the mole came off. What are we gonna do? What are gonna do?Joey: We'll flip for it. Ducks or clowns.Chandler: Oh, we're gonna flip for the baby?Joey: You got a better idea?Chandler: All right, call it in the air.Joey: Heads.Chandler: Heads, it is. We have to assign heads to something!Joey: Right! Okay, okay. Ducks is heads because ducks have heads.Chandler: What kind of scary-ass clowns came to your birthday?
Ross: What about Ben? We can't bring a baby to the hospital.Joey: We'll watch him.Ross: I don't think so.Joey: What? I have seven Catholic sisters. I've taken care of hundreds of kids.
Lea DeLaria is now known for playing Carrie "Big Boo" Black on the Netflix original series "Orange is the New Black". However, back in 1996 she made an appearance as a wedding guest on "Friends" Season 2, Episode 11 "The One With the Lesbian Wedding". Lea looks back on her time with "Friends" very fondly, but does say that it was one of the longest days of her career; stating that they didn't get around to filming her scene until close to midnight.
Robin makes a cameo in Season 3, Episode 24 "The One With The Ultimate Fighting Champion" alongside Billy Crystal as Tim. Their appearance on "Friends" was rather serendipitous; both actors were filming on a nearby set and the "Friends" writers approached them about being on an episode of the show. Since the cast of "Friends" was filming that same day, the scene with these two A-list actors needed to be added to the episode and filmed. With this scene not appearing in the original script, most say that the entire scene is completely improvised.
Best known for playing Charlotte on the HBO series "Sex and the City", Kristin had a cameo on Season 7, Episode 7 "The One with Ross's Library Book". Kristin plays Erin, a woman that Joey had a one night stand with that befriends Phoebe and Rachel. Kristin Davis looks back on her time on "Friends" very positively, though she does remember being incredibly nervous of filming in front of a live audience.
Missi Pyle plays Hillary, a woman that Ross dates, in Season 6, Episode 8 "The One With Ross's Teeth". On this episode of "Friends" Ross gets his teeth bleached to a glowing white that is painful to look at in the light. When he goes on a date with Hillary, he finds himself listening intently, as to not show his teeth, but she sees this as a wonderful personality trait.
Brooke Shields is an accomplished model and actress who had a cameo on Season 2, Episode 12 of "Friends" called "The One After The Superbowl: Part 1" . Brooke played the character of Erika Ford, who is known by "Friends" fans as Joey's stalker. Erika is obsessed with Joey's "Days of Our Lives" character Dr. Drake Ramoray. She has great difficulty separating reality from fiction, not knowing how he can be right in front of her and on the television at the same exact time.
On "Friends" Season 9, Episode 6 "The One With The Male Nanny" Rachel decides to head back to work after the birth of Emma, so her and Ross look for a nanny to help with the baby. Rachel hires Sandy, played by Freddie Prinze Jr., after being impressed not only by his qualifications, but by his sensitivity.
Sean Penn appears in two separate episodes of "Friends" as Eric. In season 8, episode 6 "The One With The Halloween Party" he is engaged to Phoebe's twin sister Ursula. He appears in the following episode as the same character, but goes on a date with Phoebe after breaking it off with Ursula. According to some sources, Penn appeared on "Friends" because his kids loved watching the show.
Probably one of the best celebrity cameos, Danny DeVito as Roy the Stripper AKA Officer Goodbody. He makes his cameo in Season 10, Episode 11 "The One Where The Stripper Cries". DeVito explained that he got the cameo due to being next door neighbors with Jennifer Aniston at the time. He said in an interview recently, that he wanted to take off more clothes, but wasn't able to go that far.
Jill Green is Rachel's younger sister who makes her first appearance in Season 6, Episode 13 "The One With Rachel's Sister" and the following episode, "The One Where Chandler Can't Cry". Jill arrives at Rachel's apartment with the hopes of starting a new life for herself. Despite their onscreen rivalry, Jennifer Aniston and Reese Witherspoon are really close friends. The actresses will appear together in a new TV series for Apple TV+ called "The Morning Show" which will premiere this fall.
Hopper rushes to a site of the rotting pumpkins and digs. Not far under the surface is the Upside Down, where he climbs inside. The episode ends with a dizzying and haunting shot of the camera turning, well, upside down.
Mike is sure he keeps seeing their mysterious friend Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) after she was seemingly destroyed last year in a series-ending battle. His sister Nancy (Natalia Dyer) is plagued with guilt over the disappearance of her friend Barb (Shannon Purser).

A convulsing Will Byers is brought to Hawkins National Laboratory with his mother, Bob Newby, and Mike Wheeler following, where the doctors conclude that he believes he is burning and sedate him. Jim Hopper is power washed with a hose and scrub brushes following his sojourn in the tunnels. Dustin Henderson explains the situation with d'Artagnan to a disbelieving Steve Harrington. Steve arms himself with his nail bat and descends into the storm cellar where Dart is locked, only to find that he has shed his skin again and tunneled out through a wall.
Lab agents enter the Byers household, photographing the drawing-covered walls and Will's drawing of the shadow monster. Joyce explains Will's episode at the school and his "now-memories" to Sam Owens and a group of scientists, but none of them are able to offer a solution as to what is wrong with him. Jonathan Byers, Nancy Wheeler and Murray Bauman make copies of Owens' confession tape and package them to be sent to several big newspapers. As they celebrate with alcohol, Bauman insists they stay the night, and Jonathan asks if he can sleep on the couch to avoid sharing a bed with Nancy. Bauman points out that Nancy and Jonathan have clear romantic chemistry and psychoanalyzes them both easily before going off to bed, satisfied. Later that night, Nancy and Jonathan lay awake in their separate beds, contemplating Bauman's words. They meet up and initially dismiss him as drunk and out of line, but quickly kiss and end up having sex. 041b061a72
